There are two fundamental make money from home business models you can base your home business on, the “going deep” model and the “going wide” model.
They’re both viable options to base your business on, but which is better?
It really depends on your goals.
First we’ll take a look at “going deep” and then tomorrow we’ll take a look at building a business based on the “going wide” model.
The basic premise for the “going deep” model is pretty straightforward and simple. Basically, all you need to do is start off by selling a low cost product, for instance, a $5 product in a very specific niche.
From the $5 product, you can eventually offer additional products of increasing value and cost, working your way upward until you’re able to offer your ultimate product or info package for as much as $1,997 or more.
Internet marketers refer to this as the sales funnel and it works quite well. The key to being successful at this model is in gaining the trust of your prospective customer.
This is achieved by first selling the high-quality, low-cost product. Your prospect sees value you’re offering and you earn their trust.
Now, when you pitch them a $49 product, they’re quite likely to purchase that from you because you’ve earned their trust. And this trust will follow you all the way up to that $1,997 product.
And that’s it – the “going deep” business model in a nutshell. Next time we’ll look at the going wide business model.
