By now you know the importance of a good sales letter. You also know the 5 things you can do to improve the odds that your letter will actually be read.
But there’s more…
After all, in a make money from home business, a sales letter is your main tool in your marketing arsenal and it needs to be good – really good.
So, to make your job easier, I’ve composed a list of the five important components of a sales letter:
Key Component 1 – The headline is actually one of the biggest determining factors of whether or not you’ll have an effective sales page. Don’t get me wrong the other components are important but unless you have a compelling headline your prospect will never read the rest of your sales page.
Key Component 2 – Facts, figures, and testimonials! Evidence, evidence and more evidence. What can I say, people are skeptical about buying things online and you need to give them as much proof as you can that your product or service works. It’s as simple as that.
Key Component 3 – Benefits! When writing a sales letter it’s important to incorporate the benefits of your product or service. Your prospect does not care so much about the features of your product or service but rather what they can get from it.
Key Component 4 – Guarantees and promises. This is another biggie. Again, people are skeptical and they want to know that you stand by your product or service. Clearly tell them so in writing.
Key Component 5 – Bullet Points. Sales letters are very long by nature, and most people are in a hurry, and don’t have time to read through your 23 page sales letter. That’s why it’s important to outline the key benefits, features and facts and summarize your sales letter using strategically placed bullet points.
Now you’re armed with the 5 key components of a good sales letter. Start writing.
