Make Money From Home – Can You Really Use Twitter to Make Money?

I hear this question all the time “Can I really use Twitter to make money from home?” It’s no wonder, social media is one of the newest trends sweeping the internet.

Simply put, yes, you can use Twitter to make money online, but like any other business you need to know your way around a tool before you use it.

So, how does Twitter work?

First of all, if you think you’re going go to Twitter with the intention of spamming people left and right you can think again. If enough people report you – and let me tell you, they will – your account will be suspended and deleted so quickly your head will spin.

You also need to find the right balance in your tweets (this is what they call a post at Twitter). Get too over zealous or too “salesy” and people will “unfollow” just as fast.

The key to being successful with Twitter or any other social media networking for that matter is by participating in the community. Help people out, share any tips or tricks you may have, let people know what you’re doing with your life.

A great way to share information about you is by writing about it on our own blog. If you don’t have one, you should get one. You can even create one for free at Blogger.com.

After you have created your blog you can “tweet” about the new posts you have made to let your followers know you have something to share with them. There are even tools that will automate this for you.  TwitterFeed.com is a good one.

You can also share a free report you may have written with your followers. You want to build relationships, then you ask for business. People like buying from people they know.

The key to being successful with Twitter is to contribute to the community more than you promote yourself.
